This week we were very busy learning to use the scissors with Mr. Kelleher. We cut out birthday cakes and candles all by ourselves! We also played with chestnuts in the sand table. We made a gingerbread person and we also played with the Nexus houses. Another fun week was had.

We had a really fun week exploring the topic of Autumn. The highlight of the week was our welly walk with Mr. Kelleher. We spotted spiders webs, chestnuts, mushrooms, leaves, berries and lots more. We also made an autumn picture from playdough. We painted hedghogs using cotton buds! Finally we created leaf creatures from all the leaves we had. Huge thanks to all the parents who sent in amaxing things for our nature table! Its simply amazing - best nature table in the school!! Thank you all, huge learning got from it and a great fun week.
We spent the last two weeks having great fun exploring the topic of "All about me". During aistear or integrated play the children made faces from playdough. They drew pencil drawing of their families. They played in the sandpit. The role play area was a bit hit where the children played in the kitchen, played with the dolls and played with the tool benches. They constructed some amazing invetions with the construction straws and created super little beings using fabric. We also played with the potato heads and created very funny creations! Well done everyone!
We had a lovely day on our Spring Welly Walk. We planted our carrots and beans in our new school garden and also some onion sets....thanks again to Melanie ( Caleb's mum) .
